Gianfranco Soldati works on phenomenology, mind and knowledge. Among other things he is interested in problems related to perception, action, reason, self-knowledge, and in the philosophical analysis of experience.
Soldati is Professor Emeritus at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He held the chair of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy at Fribourg University from 2000 to 2025. He also taught in Lausanne, Neuchatel, Lugano, Rome, and Tuebingen.
